Do you ever listen to your inner voice, your intuition or your inner guide?
You may not realise that you do this regularly, when you get an uneasy feeling about someone or a situation this is your inner guide communicating with you.
We don’t always choose to listen. I know i haven’t, when i decide to ignore my inner guide i usually get myself into trouble, or something happens and i think, Janine, why didn’t you listen?
You have to trust that what you feel is right for you. This takes time, and practice but more importantly trust, trusting that you know what is right for you.
For me, mediation is a great place to start, especially when i use a guided meditation because you are usually asked to visualise a situation or a beautiful scene. You can find plenty of guided meditations on you tube or on many free apps. Gabby Berntstein has many free meditation’s, which are guided and encourage you to visualise.
I would advise you to try it for a week, see what comes into your mind. Start with simply breathing, a slow and deep in breathe and then a slow, deep out breathe, focusing on your chest moving in and out for 5 or 6 breathes and you will feel instantly calmer, more focused and centred to be able to be still and listen to your inner guide.
Don’t worry if your mind wanders, mediation takes practice, and patience. However surrender your ego and trust your inner voice , trust your inner goddess and lean into the process.
When you have mastered the art of breathing slowly progress and sit with the silence, quiet your mind and ask a question, and ask for guidance. See what happens and enjoy the process. If meditation isn’t for you, when you have 5 minutes of quiet, while your in the bath, walking or listening to music quiet your mind and simply breathe, see what happens, see what comes to you. For me being still and quiet is the aim, how you get there is a personal choice,

What are you grateful for?
Gratitude, this is something I started to practice earlier this year. Gratitude for me is a method of self care and it lifts my energetic vibration.
I feel so much better, my mood is greatly increased, and it’s a good coping strategy. I believe it takes you away from the above quote of comparing ourselves to others, or when we are constantly searching for more, but we never feel like we have enough. It gives you a chance to reflect and focus your mind on something else.
Gratitude allows you to stop and think about what you have in your life, what is good about your life. I generally write in my journal a minimum of 3 things, I love writing and it takes me away from a screen. I do post on social media sites, I have posted this very picture below and I write in the notes app on my phone.
There are many more ways you can practice gratitude, use apps, your phone and you can buy a gratitude journal, although a simple note pad is sufficient.
What are you grateful for?
I’m grateful I meditated today, I don’t meditate daily but I’m getting there. I used crystals, Rose Quartz and citrine. It was a first and I enjoyed the experience.
You can be grateful for your daily cup of coffee, for the sunny day or for your family. You can be grateful for your cold glass of water, your house, your husband or wife. You can be grateful you had 5 minutes to sit down and take a deep breath and relax. Gratitude doesn’t have to be anything big it can be, as described above something simple.
Practicising gratitude daily enhances your life; it’s a time to think about what you have in your life. What is good and what is working for you; rather than looking at the negative and what isn’t working in your life. You are shifting the focus away from negative and limiting beliefs towards the positive aspects of your life.
Try the art of gratitude for one month and see how different you will feel……

Thanks for joining me on my writing journey. I’m Janine, I’m a mother, a daughter, a friend, a reiki healer. Take a look at my post about Reiki Healing… if you would like to learn more. Im an intuitive reader, spiritual coach, self love advocate, i love gratitude and i consider myself to be a spiritual entrepreneur.
I have Graves disease, a autoimmune condition, which is a condition which produces antibodies, which attack the thyroid. It speeds up the thyroid causing you to develop hyperthyroidism. This little butterfly shaped organ In the throat controls your hormones, metabolism, causes palpitations, increased body temperature, anxiety, pretty much everything in your body and energy. I will write about this from time to time. I have also written about my experience travelling and how I’ve always found it spiritually uplifting. I will post Star spiritual affirmations, which I create myself and I hope to add meditations later.
I hope you love my musings, ideas and thoughts and they give you hope, inspiration or generally help you feel that you are not alone. I’m excited that you will join me during this new journey.
