The third eye chakra or the brow chakra is located in the middle of your brow, above your eyes.
It is the colour Indigo (deep purple/blue. ), and is where we connect all our thoughts and all ours senses. This chakra relates to our spiritual guidance, power of insight, wisdom, Inner intelligence, knowledge imagination and where your intuition lives. It is also referred to as the “mind’s eye”. It is often viewed as the chakra where you experience psychic knowledge, and connect with higher spiritual planes.
When this chakra is not balanced you can have thyroid problems, sleep disorders, and low seratonin levels which affect your mood, leading to depression. You may have too many racing thoughts in your mind, unable to process them effectively. This can lead to personality disorders, hallucinations, nightmares and feeling unable to distinguish between illusion and spiritual insight.
If you decide to develop your spiritual skills, don’t rush the process without the help of a guide or mentor, to prevent the above issues occurring. Additionally you can lose your sense of intuition, making your judgment clouded leading to you making poor decisions, and feeling stuck in an emotional and intellectual rut.
If your chakra becomes blocked you can become closed to new ideas and fall off the path of your true destiny. When you balance and open this chakra, you can switch off completely from the distractions of your life, phones, computers and to-do-lists.
